After accumulating more than 12 years of successful training and consulting with 1,000s of private clients, public school districts, and education service centers, Brenda M. Batts opened a new private school in August of 2006 for children with autism and other special needs children in Plano, Texas.
We offer a unique approach consisting of a wide array of highly individualized behavior management and social skills development that will allow your child with special needs to better model socially acceptable behaviors. We strive to deliver intensive, individualized training that will better the lives of special needs children in the Dallas - Fort Worth area of Texas.
FOCUS Special Education offers workshops that feature a diverse approach, using highly individualized techniques, to teach new skills to children with special needs in Texas. We offer workshop and participate in public speaking and training world wide. Our training programs have been proven to be successful in our private school as well as on countless of private clients and clients contracted to us by Texas school districts such as, PISD (Plano Independent School District) and RRISD (Round Rock Independent School District) and AISD (Austin Independent School District).
Our goal here at FOCUS is to design and deliver highly individualized training or workshop-based information that is geared to help provide you with the necessary tools to help your child become more independent. Regardless of his or her limitation, your child deserves and is capable of living a more independent life.
We develop and present custom workshops that can be delivered across Texas, the United States or world wide. Upon availability, we also evaluate public school classrooms and curriculum for children with autism, down syndrome, mental retardation, and other disabilities.

Focus on the Future Training Center is a highly regarded Pre-K to Grade 12 Plano, Texas, based Private School for children with autism and other mental disabilities. We offer some of the best autism early intervention and other individualized curriculum featuring Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Music Therapy. Our small classrooms of 10 students or less and low student/teacher ratios of 3:1 create a rich learning environment with frequent one-on-one instruction.
